Automobiles are one of our most expensive investments.
Kelly Blue Book’s description of an excellent
car is, “Excellent” condition means that
the vehicle looks great, the paint is glossy, and the
body and interior are free of any wear or visible defects.”
The value of a vehicle can drop thousands of dollars
just by its appearance. Along with the monetary value
of a car we also have a personal investment in our vehicle.
The vehicle you drive and how it looks is a major status
symbol. Mother Nature is extremely harsh on vehicles.
The sun can cause paint to fade and oxidize, giving
it a chalky appearance. Rain can permanently etch the
surface of a vehicle’s finish and the plastic
trim can also fade. The interior is also damaged by
the sun. The dash dries out, fades, and cracks along
with any other vinyl or leather surface in the car.
Added to this is all the abuse the interior takes from
daily use.
